AVER Brokerage – the only franchise in Latvia in the field of real estate brokerage

AVER is also the only real estate agency in Latvia that has clearly defined that it works in the interests of the property seller to help clients sell an apartment, house or land faster and more profitably. The company has been on the market since 2017 and grows two to three times every year in terms of both turnover and the number of agents. The management team has more than 10 years of experience in the field of real estate. In 2019, the AVER Brokerage team consisted of only nine agents, but currently the company has 60 certified and registered agents in the broker register, working throughout Latvia, concluding more than 500 transactions per year. We continue to grow with purposeful and success-oriented people with high ambitions. Currently, AVER branches are located in Riga, Liepaja, Daugavpils and Saldus. In 2022, it is planned to open branches in Jurmala, Sigulda and Cesis.

What is a franchise?

A franchise is a business model that an organization can adopt as a strategy for expanding its business. When it is implemented, the franchisor licenses its knowledge, procedures, intellectual property, business model, brand, and the right to sell its company’s products and services to the franchisee. In return, the franchisee pays a certain fee and agrees to comply with certain obligations, usually set out in the franchise agreement.

For the franchisor, using such a system is a business strategy, compared to expanding by opening corporate sales, service locations, or “chain stores.” For the franchisee, adopting such a business system for selling and distributing goods and services reduces capital investment and liability risk.

A franchise is not an equal partnership because the franchisee is partially subordinate to the franchisor. However, if this cooperation is successful and transparency is ensured, there are favorable legal aspects, financial resources, etc., franchising is beneficial for both the franchisor and the franchisee.

There are several reasons for creating the “AVER Brokerage” franchise:

  1. To raise the level of brokerage services in Latvia;
  2. To provide agents who have decided to start their own business with everything they need to create an effective, profitable and growing business;
  3. To give the leaders of the AVER company the opportunity to develop themselves as entrepreneurs.

In 2021, three franchisees have signed franchise agreements. Two of them are AVER leaders who have started their own business, while the third is the company SIA “Trusted Latvija”, which decided to join us in order to grow and develop its company faster.

Why did the current franchisees choose to buy a franchise?

One of the franchisees, Ritvars, was initially a successful AVER agent for more than three years, and then worked as a team leader for two years, training new agents. Over time, he realized that he wanted to take the next step – to create his own company.
